On-Ramp/Off-Ramp
When starting out in crypto you'll need tokens to fund your journey! The best way to engage in the DeFi markets is by using fiat currency (e.g. USD) and creating an account on a centralized exchange. What exchange you use is ultimately up to you and your current country or region. Here is a short list of common Centralized Exchanges used to On-Ramp and Off-Ramp fiat to crypto:
- Binance
- Coinbase
- Crypto.com
- Gate.io
- MEXC
Pick a Crypto Wallet
Using Pharaoh's website requires a crypto wallet. As the name references, it's a personal interface to interact with all of your digital assets, tokens, or even art (NFTs!).
There is a large selection of wallets that a user can pick from but here is a short list of trusted, popular & compatible ones you can choose from:
Putting it all together
Assuming you have now installed a Wallet & have tokens on your centralized exchange account, you can now transfer your tokens to your wallet!
Pharaoh runs on Avalanche C-Chain, so users need AVAX on Avalanche C-Chain to pay gas. Each transaction made on the blockchain requires gas, and each blockchain uses a different gas token. After purchasing AVAX and other tokens on the centralized exchange of your choosing, you can withdraw from your account to your wallet.
Every centralized exchange, and even tokens, have different requirements for a deposit or withdrawal. Please ensure that you take time to study the information & guides of your given exchange to ensure you understand the process and are not at risk of losing your funds!
Bridging Assets
If your assets are on another network, you may need to bridge them to Avalanche C-Chain before using Pharaoh. Bridges allow you to move assets between blockchains, though they carry their own risks. Be sure to use trusted, audited bridges and verify all transaction details before confirming.

Protecting your Funds & Wallets
Like all industries, DeFi is riddled with scams from social engineering to malicious contracts, so be extremely cautious. Owning your own assets is a powerful thing, but it comes with immense responsibility from the user to take security seriously.
Here is some great starter tips to keep you safe while you are just jumping in:
- Never click unknown links and connect your wallet.
- Never share your seed phrase with anyone.
- Ensure you are being vigilant on anything you're installing or downloading on a PC or mobile device that may have access to your crypto wallet.
These are of course great to start with, please take time to educate yourself on how to be 100% confident in the protection of your tokens.
